Diary, 1850.

Diary, 3 Apr.-16 June 1850, kept by Colonel Marion C. Taylor while serving on Lopez Cardenas' expedition against Cuba. Included are his enlistment at Louisville; the voyage to Cuba; description of islands; guards; the battle at Cardenas; and a visit to Key West and Tampa on his return trip to Louisville. The diary is accompanied by correspondence of Martha S. Harbison regarding the diary and newspaper clippings about Taylor and the diary.
